Your candle's wick should be trimmed after every 4 hours of burn time. Let the candle come to room temperature, then trim the wick to 1/4" before relighting. The trimmer is 1/4" thick so all you have to do is place the wick trimmer at the base of the wick and cut at a 45 degree angle. Just want to make sure the to cut all the carbon build up on the end of the wick!
